The plan can be as detailed as necessary. Sometimes it is helpful to see how all the major landscape elements, plants, structures, earthforms, will fit together, without going into full detail on plantings or construction details.   I work with you to figure out what level of detail is best suited to your current needs.  

A master plan need not be executed in full immediately. Part of the value of the plan is being able to implement it in stages, as one's budget allows, without creating a piecemeal look or investing in plantings or hardscape that later must be changed or removed.   A coherent and unified landscape is the end result.

Focused Plan:
If you are interested in beautifying one portion of your property - a main entrance, a part of the back yard - or have recently added on to your house, a focused plan may be a good solution.   The design will focus solely on the area(s) of concern.   As with the landscape master plan, the level of detail is based on your needs.

Consultation:
If you have a specific problem or question(s) that can be addressed with an on-site visit, a consultation may be all that's needed.   Questions such as "What can I plant to block that view?", "How can I get more privacy?", "What should I do in this soggy area where no grass grows?" can be answered in a consultation.   Specific planting advice / plant lists or quick sketches can be provided.

Garden Coaching:
If you are an experienced gardener, but would like a fresh pair of eyes to look at your property or any portion of it, garden coaching may be the best approach. My involvement can range from a one-time visit, or a series of visits over the season, to working with you, hands on, to help get your landscape to where you want it to be.
